📝 Ingredients: Speculoos protein balls, pine cone
BASE OF PROTEIN BALLS (for 10 servings depending on their size)
-
100g of oat flour
-
80g of crushed speculoos biscuits
-
50g Pure Whey Isolate Squad Nutrition – Chocolate
-
1 small pinch of salt
-
70g of speculoos spread (melted)
-
160g of skyr
DECOR
-
Unsweetened cornflakes
-
150g of dark chocolate
-
1 tsp coconut oil
🍳 Preparation: Step-by-step recipe
1️⃣ In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients: oat flour, crushed speculoos, Pure Whey Isolate Squad Nutrition chocolate and salt.
2️⃣ Next, add the skyr and the melted speculoos spread, then mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough that is slightly sticky but easy to work with.
👉 Tip: If the dough is too sticky, add a little oatmeal. If it's too dry, a little skyr or milk will do.
3️⃣ With clean hands, roll the mixture to form truffle-like balls, then lightly pinch the top to create an oval pine cone shape.
4️⃣ Push the cornflakes into the base of each cone truffle, then gradually work your way up using smaller and smaller pieces (refer to our video).
👉 Take your time and don't lose patience: cornflakes are very fragile, be careful not to break them when pushing them onto the base!
Place them next 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
5️⃣ Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil.
Take them out of the refrigerator, place them on a fork and, using a spoon, coat them with melted chocolate. Gently tap to remove the excess.
6️⃣ Place them on baking paper, then put them in the freezer for 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
7️⃣ Just before serving, lightly sprinkle with icing sugar for a Christmas snow effect ❄️
